Meet Our Dedicated Team
Jake was introduced to the world of cars at a young age. Jake spent countless hours in his uncle’s garage fixing cars for friends and family and also restoring classic cars. This gave Jake a true understanding of all things automotive. After he graduated from the University of Illinois, Jake chose a career in the world of IT consulting, but his love of cars remained. When he’s not buying or selling cars, you can usually find Jake at his kids’ hockey or soccer game, on his mountain bike, or tinkering on a vintage car in the garage.
Mickey has been in the automotive industry for over 28 years. He is co-owner of Shaver Preferred Motors in Merrillville, Indiana. The Shaver family has been in or around the automotive business for over 100 years. Mickey learned a great deal of his automotive knowledge from his dad, who owned many dealerships in the 1980s and 1990s. After earning his degree at Western Colorado, Mickey followed in his dad’s footsteps. He attended the NADA, National Auto Dealer Association Dealer Academy in Mclean Virginia, and became a Certified Master Dealer from the National Independent Auto Dealer Association in 2015. He lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with his wife and 3 young kids. When he's not buying or selling cars, you can usually find Mickey either outdoors, fishing, golfing, skiing, playing with his cars or traveling.
Kevin has lived in La Grange with his wife Kathleen for 20 years. They have three boys that keep them very busy. After graduating from Creighton University, Kevin spent 20 years in sales, predominantly in the medical field. On his 10th birthday, he looked at his parents and said "Wow, I only have six more years until I can drive!"" Kevin has been a car enthusiast his entire life.
